Sunflower Garden works with children and young people who are affected by substance use in their families. We offer Counselling, Art Therapy and Therapeutic Support both on a 1:1 and groupwork basis for children aged 5-18 years old across Edinburgh. We work from our dedicated base on Queen Street, in schools and in the community, ensuring that we are accessible to all who need us. We are a multi-disciplinary team and value being able to provide a variety of supports for families, ensuring that they get the service that’s right for them
We are now recruiting a children's worker to join our outreach team, offering therapeutic support to children and young people across schools in Edinburgh. This is not a counselling role so if you have a background in Social work, Youth work, Community Education or similar we would love to hear from you.
Due to the outreach nature of the role you are required to have a full UK driving license and car.
As we do our work in Christ’s name you must be respectful of our Christian Ethos and be able to work within it.
We have a legal obligation to ensure that it does not employ any worker who has not been granted the relevant permission to work in the UK. This permission is without exception granted by UK Visas and Immigrations. We are required to check the entitlement to work in the UK of all prospective employees, regardless of nationality or job category
