**Legal Administrator**

We are expanding our support department with an excellent opportunity to join our friendly but busy team, here at hpjv Solicitors in Newport.

hpjv are a local, well-established firm of solicitors with a reputation of integrity, professionalism, and quality of service. We have been providing key legal services for more than 40 years within the local community and further afield.

**The Role**

You will be part of a team working collaboratively in providing and excellent standard of reception/administrative support. Duties will include but not limited to:

- Reception duties, answer and transfer incoming calls efficiently and professionally, greeting clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take card payments
- Audio typing, ensuring accuracy and prioritisation.
- Dealing with file related queries when necessary either face to face or by telephone
- Diary management
- To ensure that all internal methods, systems, policies, and procedures are adhered to
- Document bundle preparation, photocopying and scanning
- Preparing, files for closure, closing and archiving files
- To manage own work allocation, efficiently and without back log.
- Providing cover for colleagues
- Genral and ad-hoc administration duties

**Essential Skills and Experience.**
- Minimum of 1 year reception or customer care or legal administration experience
- Accurate audio typing skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- Work well in a team with a flexible and collaborative approach.
- The motivation to learn and show initiative
- Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft packages and Case Management Systems.
