**What's involved in this job role?**

There's one thing we hear a lot from the people we care for. They're not as young or fit as they were. Life has its many difficulties. And more than anything, they want to live at home. A lot of our clients want to pass away peacefully at home and we believe that every person has the right to do so.

Our Carers make it possible. They visit people once or maybe several times a day. Getting them ready in the morning. Cooking. Shopping. Housework. Medication. providing palliative care that is holistic, respectful and dignified. We support clients, their families and loved ones through the most difficult times. Whatever they need we are there.

There's a whole other side to the job which is never reported publicly, providing friendship, reassurance and hopefully some laughs along the way. If our existing carers are to be believed, you'll get a lot out of these relationships too. It is a life changing job, that alters your whole perspective.

A few important details
- This job can be full or part-time.
- Your shifts will include one weekend in two.
- Mileage Paid at 40p per mile.
- There are often well paid overtime opportunities, but these are voluntary.
- You must be aged at least 17.
- A full UK driving license with use of a car is preferred, but not essential. Please inform us when you apply.
- You must be prepared to wash and dress people.
- You will be in some very emotional situations, looking after people as they pass away.

Own transport is essential and Mileage paid at 40p per Mile. You can be paid at a salaried rate for those who would like a permanent contract, once your probation period has passed, and is mutually agreed.

Holiday are 28 days per annum on accrual.

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
