**The Role**

Choice First and Health and Home Care Ltd is a small newly formed domiciliary care business looking for a experienced Care Assistants looking for real change and challenge to make a difference to the most vulnerable people in our society. We are an independent provider of Home (Domiciliary) Care to people living at home. Our passion and focus are providing high-quality person-centred care, treating all our Service Users with dignity and respect, and ensuring their safety, health, and well-being.

**We are looking for staff members in the Telford and Wrekin/Shropshire Area or who are able to commute there. Mileage will be paid.**

**Rate of pay/benefits**
- £11.00 - £12.00 per hour + mileage for drivers
- 28 days paid holiday ( depending on full time or part time)
- Full training provided
- The care certificate
- A friendly working environment and support from senior staff and managers
- After successful 3 months’ probation possibility of enrolling to complete QCF level 2 Health and Social care

**Job Type**: Full-time or Part-Time working either 6am -14pm or 15pm -22pm

All of our care workers are required to have weekend availability

**It is essential to us that all our care workers ensure that our service users receive the very best standards of care and support in their own home**:
**The Care Workers / Care Assistant role will involve**:

- Providing personal care and support to clients including washing, bathing/bathroom assistance
- Provide refreshments, snacks and assist at meal times
- Do beds and general housekeeping duties, providing practical support and domestic tasks including laundry, etc.
- Support with day to day activities
- Ensure confidentiality at all times
- Promote mobility and independence
- Develop healthy relationships with Service Users, relatives, visitors and the care team
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team
- Assist with on-going assessments of Service Users, reporting any changes
- Assist with the training of new care team members

- Previous care experience is beneficial
- You must be able to work evenings and weekends

**Essential Requirements are**:

- Relevant experience of service provision in the care profession
- Good standard of general education, and literacy
- A good understanding of the regulatory standards
- NVQ level 2 or above in Health and Social Care preferred
- Full UK Driver’s License & access to own vehicle
- A minimum of 1 year experience as a care assistant preferred
- You must be able to work evenings and weekends

Education and Skills
- NVQ 2 or above preferred
- Good communication and written skills
- Effective team player
