**Title: Data & Information Administrator**
**Salary: Admin Level 1**
**Responsible to: IT & Data Quality Manager**
**Job Summary**:
To support the practice in the management of patient information systems to ensure all data is appropriately and securely maintained and contributing to collection and auditing of data for contract and quality initiative reporting.
**Responsibilities**:
- Administer patient incoming & outgoing records systems, including new patient records are received and imported onto the clinical system, deductions and forward of records for patients moving outside the practice area or deceased patients.
- Administer patient call and recall systems, including national & local systems for adults and children
- Support production of contract monitoring and quality initiatives data
- Partake in audit as directed by the audit lead
- Support the team in the effective use of searches, audits and recalls
- Maintain effective security of data all times
- Monitor and promote the use of the Friends and Family Test, including reporting
- Act as the focal point for maintenance of the practice website and social media accounts
- Coordinate and produce meeting agendas and record the minutes of meetings
- Any other tasks as identified by the Practice Management Team to support the effective running of the Practice.

- In the performance of the duties outlined in this Job Description, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, Practice staff and other healthcare workers. They may also have access to information relating to the Practice as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential
- Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the Practice may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the Practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data
**Health & Safety**:
The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others’ health, safety and security as defined in the Practice Health & Safety Policy, to include:
- Using personal security systems within the workplace according to Practice guidelines
- Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks
- Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills
- Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
- Reporting potential risks identified
