We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Manager, who will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the UK National Express Apprenticeship Programme. The main purpose of the role will be to coordinate the recruitment of apprentices, supportthe ongoing development of the cohort and to liaise with all relevant stakeholders
What you'll do...
- Work with the L&D Manager to identify the best training provider for the relevant apprenticeship standard.
- Agree the contract with the NX Legal team and training provider.
- Liaising with Resourcing to support the recruitment of apprentices across UK functions.Ensuring contact is kept with apprentices & training providers throughout the recruitment experience.
- Work with the training provider and HR to ensure all eligibility criteria are met.
- Plan and deliver briefings for line managers, mentors and teams to prepare them before and during the apprenticeship period.
- Organise any additional work-based learning in partnership with external partners; ensuring experience is gained to satisfy the requirements of the relevant apprenticeship and to further the apprentice’s employability after the programme.
- Design, coordinate and support delivery of inductions and ongoing training requirements to create a richer experience for the apprentice.
- Keep current with changes in apprenticeship legislation and compliance; manage and maintain the Apprenticeship Levy through the Digital Apprenticeship Service to ensure compliance with ESFA funding rules.
- Liaise with training providers and submit internal reports on apprentice progress to the Exec team, L&D and apprentice managers.
- Previous experience working within apprenticeships in a levy paying business.
- Experience in designing and delivering training.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking ability
- Proficient in Google; working knowledge of the DAS apprenticeship system.
- Personable with outstanding communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible approach to duties and hours
