**Summary**:
The role of the PMO Support Officer covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the project/programme’s objectives. This will form part of the Government Major Projects Portfolio reporting, risks and issues and benefits management using best practice programme management methodologies.

**Job description**:

- Embed best practice project management principle into the UK Security Vetting work programme.
- Support project managers to draft highlight and status reports and other critical project documentation and reporting.
- Provide secretariat support to the projects, including collating papers, taking minutes, tracking actions etc.
- Support the project managers and the PMO with a range of activities including:

- Preparation for assurance reviews.
- Managing updates to the Risk, Assumption, Issues and Dependency log.
- Ensuring project resources are appropriately deployed.
- Support the wider project team in the benefits management and realisation process.
- Maintaining important control documentation to ensure compliance within Government guidelines.

As the Programme Management Office Support within UK Security Vetting, we are looking for people who have the following expertise and attributes:
