We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced customer service professional to join our team as a Council Tax Team Leader. We are looking for someone who has a passion for delivering a first class customer service, someone who has great leadership skills and the desire to share their expertise with their team to drive success.

In this role you will support a team of Council Tax Officers providing them with advice, guidance and the support to excel in their role. You will also stand in for the Council Tax Manager as and when needed so knowledge of council tax and it’s associated legislation would be a must, we are also looking for someone to present liability order court hearings when required so someone in a reasonable commuting distance of Westminster Magistrates Court is needed

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Work with managers and team members to meet customer needs in a responsive, efficient manner.
- Client and third party stakeholder management
- Interpret relevant legislation, providing authoritative advice on its effect and implementation to employees and provide technical advice
- Identify, review and evaluate opportunities including growth of accounts.
- Hire, train, assign, direct, and evaluate employees within the area of specialism.

- Technical proficiency
- Excellent people management skills
- Ability to communicate with clarity, precision and influence
- Stakeholder management skills
