We are a growing business that provides visits and inspections to various local authority contracts in London. We need to expand our team of inspectors who are currently based in the Lambeth area. We have a permanent post available for an enthusiastic individual who can work well within a busy and friendly environment.
As a Council Tax Inspector, you will be responsible for arranging and conducting visits with residents in the Lambeth area to undertake inspections to ensure that they are in the correct council tax banding. Initially you will work alongside an experienced inspector to gain insights and training for the role but once ready you will proactively manage your own portfolio of clients arranging the visits, carrying out the inspections and sending the documentation to the team in the office.

**What you’ll be doing**:
- Regular inspections of domestic properties or sites that have been given planning permission and visiting commercial properties.
- Establishing liability or entitlement to tax discount, exemption or reliefs, in line with legislation and policy.
- Taking appropriate action where reliefs no longer apply.
- Arranging appointments with landlords, agents, business owners, etc to gain access to premises.
- Ensuring the database is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
- Liaising with other agencies
