HR Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the effective delivery of operational People support across the Group.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with colleagues and site-based stakeholders.
- Providing sound HR advice, coaching and/or training to employees at all levels.
- Act as point of escalation for Employee Relations cases, ensuring legal compliance is continually being met coupled with a drive to create solutions to resolve issues.
- Actively work to ensure all activities incorporate a focus on promotion of equality and diversity, including collating and analysing data.
- Propose and implement solutions to people challenges, which in turn will assist managers and improve staff experience/retention.
- Develop and implement the operational plan to deliver the group's people strategy.
- Support with Group Recruitment.
- On-boarding new starters and overseeing appropriate VISA/RTW checks.
- Ongoing Performance Management.
- Act as the ambassador for company culture across the organisation.
- Working closely with the Director of Learning and Teaching, develop an effective performance management system ensuring that organisational values are translated into measurable competencies, behaviours and objectives, and that appraisals are carried outaccordingly.
- Lead on the Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy, holding regular meetings with site-based stakeholders.
**Key Skills and Experience**:
- Experience of working within a generalist HR role at mid-senior level, in either a stand-alone capacity or within a small team.
- Experience working within the Education Sector is highly desirable (or similar sectors, such as health and social care).
- Sound knowledge of current HR legislation.
- Ability to work autonomously, take responsibility for own actions and make decisions with mínimal direction.
- Highly effective interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to establish working relationships with varying personalities.
- Ability to influence and establish credibility with stakeholders at all levels in order to deliver effective results from a people perspective.
- Good level of IT skills (Microsoft Office products).
