About the Role

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the supervisor is responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of production through the manufacturing line to meet the weekly production targets in the most effective manner

Main Duties & Responsibilities- Controlling and managing the day to day production levels on the shop floor, to ensure that the targets are achieved. To ensure relevant parts are available in a timely manner.- To ensure that the highest quality of product is maintained.- To attend and organise the daily and weekly production meetings.- To manage the manufacturing team on a daily basis in terms of labour, work instruction, attendance management and any disciplinary and grievance issues that may arise.- To promote health & safety within the work place.- To ensure the line is run in accordance with lean manufacturing practices and principals.- To carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.- Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations and Policies.- To promote and maintain compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations.

About you-
- Significant production experience gained in a highly pressured manufacturing environment.- Experience and proven track record of Supervisory and /or people management is essential- An understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques an advantage.- Computer literate and experience of Oracle /ERP systems- Good communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work to and meet strict deadlines and able to adapt to changing priorities & goals.- Good team player and able to work on own initiative.
