Production Supervisor

_**Rapid Fill Supervisor Position **_

**Wafer have been manufacturing and supplying ice cream cones and ice cream related products for 30+ years. Due to our continued and exciting growth we have one brand new opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our fast paced, dynamic, friendly production teams and help keep us making the yummiest ice cream cones around**

**Essential Criteria**
- Basic Numeracy and Literacy
- Honest, Good Time keeping, Hardworking, Good work Ethics

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience working in manufacturing environment.
- Worked in FMCG sector.
- Supervisor experience
- Knowledge of Sage
- Good People Skills
- Lead by Example
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure targets are met regarding quality and efficiency
- Attention to detail, good communication and work ethic
- Willingness to learn, take pride in the job and keep work area tidy at all times
- Be willing to work shifts
- An excellent track record of time keeping and attendance
- Ability to work in a team with other supervisors and production manager.
- Experience in food manufacturing/factory work is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

**Job Role Responsibilities**:
Over seeing the packing of sweets in our sweet room ensuring that product is being packed to the correct spec and that all staff are adhering to health and safety rules for the area

**Key duties will include but not restricted to**:
*
- Staff Training - ensuring that everyone is fully trained on their respective roles
- Hourly checks on machines and product
- Dealing with day to day issues which arise
- Working with other departments to ensure targets are being met with a smooth run of raw material in and finished product out
- Ensure staff are fully trained in their duties
- Ensure good discipline across the team including time keeping and attendance
- Adhere to heath and safety to continue to create a safe, clean working environment
- Adhere to SALSA standards and help implement the importance of food safety
- Ensure targets are met in terms of quality and efficiency
- Stock Control within the department to ensure that continuous and efficient production ensues
- Inspection of product
- Completion of relevant documentation and ensure all paperwork is up to date at all times
- Disposing of waste in accordance with company guidelines
- Liaising with production manager about schedules, efficiencies, training and staff

Shift Schedule
- 07.30- 16.30 Monday - Thursday
- 06.00 - 12.00 Friday
- No Weekends
