One of the UK's largest and most well-respected charities is looking to recruit a Programme Manager to support its business change function. This is an excellent opportunity to join an outstanding organisation committed to fighting cancer and supportingthe families it affects.
As a Programme Manager, you will manage the delivery of cross-organisational change programmes, to ensure the delivery of its strategic priorities to time, cost and quality parameters. You'll also be part of the Management Team for the Portfolio, Programmes& ProjectsTeam.
- You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of project management practice through their own delivery and through line and matrix management of team members.
- You will be an expert in programme and project management. You will also, work with the wider change community to establish best practices and lead in its implementation.
**Other responsibilities will include**:
- Managing the assigned programme through the company's Programme Management lifecycle and Investment Process
- Supporting the SRO in carrying out their accountabilities in relation to the Programme, including developing & securing approval for the Investment Case.
- Setting up and maintaining programme governance, including matrix management of the Programme Team
- Ensuring the programme is benefits-driven and that programme & project benefits are identified, defined, evaluated, planned, tracked and realised
- Developing and maintaining programme documentation in line with required standards, including scope, schedule, budget, benefits, risks & issues, etc.
- Developing and maintaining non-financial resource allocation plans, taking account of availability and scheduling
- Identifying and managing programme risks and issues, ensuring effective responses are implemented
- Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests, and developing and maintaining a wider communication & engagement plan
- Work with the Portfolio Management Office, change and programme management community to manage cross-programme dependencies, risks and issues
- Deliver inspirational and supportive line management
- Create and lead an inclusive team, where everyone can be the best version of themselves and thrive at Macmillan
**Essential Skills & Experience**:
- Programme Management
- Line Management
- Experience in leading large complex projects or business change activity
- Managing multiple programmes/projects
- Strong experience in delivering change programmes and/or complex projects in an organisation of a comparable nature, with clear evidence of having contributed to its organisational strategy and plans
