Customer Service Advisor Advisor

As a member of the customer services team the role will include but not limited to ensuring that all orders are entered and acknowledged within 24hrs and that transportation is arranged for each order. Responsible for communicating with the customer to ensure they are kept updated with the progress of their order.
**Your main duties include**:
- Ensuring that Sales Orders are entered within the system within 24hrs of receipt. Ensuring careful attention is paid to delivery date, delivery address, products and sizes, pricing and any special delivery/ manufacturing instructions.
- Arrange transport for finished orders using transport partners from the approved supplier list.
- Work with the Customer Service Manager and using production plans to ensure that orders can be achieved within the requested date before entry and communicating with the customer an achievable delivery date if this cannot be achieved.
- Help the Customer Service Manager to ensure Key Performance Indicators and production plans are kept up to date
- Liaise with the customer if there any issues with the order or to ensure that the order is clarified properly if information is missing.
- Ensure that customers are kept up to date on the progress of their order and be proactive on informing the customers of any issues.
- Be the first point of call for any customer issues and ensure that any issues are captured in the customer Non Conformance Reporting system.
- Raise any delivery paperwork required for an order prior to despatch.
- Send invoices to customers for payment.
You are expected to have the knowledge, skills and abilities to:
- Experience of dealing with customers in a pressurized environment
- Excellent communication, telephone and organisational skills
- Transport knowledge would be beneficial
- Problem solving ability
**You are likely to have received an education or be competent in**:
- Degree level preferred
- GCSE’s x 5 (C) - English & Mathematics inclusive
- MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Sage Line 500 desirable
