We are working with a client who are one of the top 15 leading independent insurance brokers at Lloyd's and recognised as one of the premier Marine insurance brokers operating in the London Market, and are seeking a young, driven and ambitious individual to join their team.
As a Trainee Account Handler you will be responsible for supporting the sustained and optimum profitability of the team and the company through performance of effective and efficient support services and processes.
Full training will be provided to help you become a well-rounded insurance professional and build a successful career.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Produce documentation to support the placing of insurance contracts
- Communicate, present and negotiate details of cover to/with insurers and clients
- Check and maintain records of negotiations, presentations and communications with insurers and with clients
- Produce and/or review documentation to evidence insurance contracts placed including wordings, policies and associated negotiations with insurers and clients
- Ensure receipt of funds due to meet settlement terms
- Develop effective internal/external relationships, communicating at all levels
- Effectively plan and organise workload in order to meet business timescales
- Utilise core systems / market interfacing technology to effectively process and manage the company's business
- Self-Motivate in order to achieve desired results with regard to team, company and annual personal objectives
As an apprentice you will combine work and study as you work towards completing your Level 3 Insurance Practitioner apprenticeship as well as achieve your Certificate in Insurance (a highly regarded qualification within the insurance sector).
