Marketing Executive, Paws

**A bit about us...**

Paws & Stay, our latest creation, is for self-catering places that go beyond dog friendly. Its mission is to take the stress out of travelling with your dog, from finding a place to stay where you’ll all get a warm welcome, to knowing the best dog-friendly walks, local beaches and attractions.

**Your role**

This is an exciting role that rarely comes around. Over the past 12 months we’ve successfully launched Paws & Stay and we are now investing further in our marketing and business development. This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop a brand that is packed full of potential. Naturally, you’ll be a dog lover but also someone who understands the warm relationships between people and their loving pets.

You’ll develop and implement the marketing plan to meet tactical objectives and goals. You’ll grow the brand, channels and utilise our customer database with the goal of improving brand awareness, and ultimately drive purchase intent through a sharpened focus on acquisition. You’ll be comfortable working on your own to achieve targets but will also be able to work with others within the company.

**Working hours**

30-37.5 hours per week (can be flexible on days/times)

**Main tasks and responsibilities**
- Meet revenue, booking and occupancy targets through an intensive acquisition approach
- Manage all acquisition channels, excluding SEO
- Demonstrate ROI and report on effectiveness of all marketing activities and bespoke campaigns/projects, using pre-determined KPIs
- Create superb content/articles/imagery across all channels with the aim of attracting, engaging and retaining our audience
- Identify customer groups, such as repeat customers or potential customers. Utilise our database and manage interactions with potential customers with the ultimate aim to convert them into bookers
- Ensure B2C and B2B marketing plan is successful and integrated with digital, PR and commercial strategies so effort is optimised across all functions
- Identify and develop partner relationships
- Manage annual budget and spend
- Analyse market trends and review competitor activity
- Sign off for all activities and items related to activities within the marketing strategy.

**Skills and experience**
- 2+ years consumer marketing experience (as a Marketing Executive), with a strong digital streak but solid all-round experience
- A proven track record of acquisition
- Experience developing and executing imaginative, creative marketing strategies
- Understanding and experience of working in a similar size business at this level - ideally a high growth SME/ start-up
- Excellent creative judgement
- Strong commercial background
- Solid experience of working with internal stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal English.

**Desirable**
- Working in a similar size business at this level without the reliance of a large marketing department - ideally a high growth SME
- Experience working in the hospitality/travel/ tourism sector
- Experience working for a web-based/e-commerce business
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial and creative flair.

**Knowledge and qualifications**
- Ideally, professional qualifications in Marketing or Digital Marketing (e.g. CIM)
- Positive self-starter who thrives on performance
- Highly inquisitive nature to do things better/differently
- Excellent communicator and strong presentation skills
- Can influence stakeholders and drive immediate change.

**Salary and benefits**
- Salary of up to £27k FTE, per annum, depending on experience
- Flexi time and hybrid working with the option to work some time from home as well as the office (needs to be commutable from Bristol).
