Service Management Developer

We have an exciting vacancy for a Service Management Developer working as part of the IT Service Management Team within Digital Health and Care Wales. As a Service Management Developer, you will be developing and implementing IT Service Management arrangements for Digital Health and Care Wales IT Services in accordance with the specification and guidance provided by IT Service Management Leads and Principal Service Level Management Specialists and in line with the ITIL Framework. You will also be ensuring that the IT Service Management arrangements are robust and fit for purpose through audit and Continual Service Improvement.
We are looking for a motivated individual who is willing work, learn, and actively contribute within a team environment, and has a working knowledge of how information and technology support the delivery of patient services throughout NHS Wales.
Previous experience of working in a governance-focused environment, would be beneficial, as would the ability to document agreements, policies, processes, and procedures to a high standard of quality.
Liaise, as necessary, with NHS staff at all levels to resolve Service Management related issues across NHS organisations or external companies, and third-party suppliers where necessary to facilitate service delivery.
To develop, manage, evaluate, and report on the quality of IT Services through defining, agreeing, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conducting regular Service reviews and Service Management Boards.
Responsible for planning, deploying, and maintaining service management arrangements for new and existing IT Services from inception through to ongoing full live Service.
To liaise with colleagues within Service Management, to ensure that support arrangements are being developed and deployed in a consistent manner.
Responsible for developing and implementing Continuous Service Improvement Plans for IT Services once they become operational.
Support the development of best practice within the team by promoting effective use of the ITIL Framework, DHCW IT Service Management toolsets and collaborative working.
Respond to customer queries in a timely and accurate manner.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
