Collections & Recoveries Manager

City & Capital are representing a highly respected & fast growing commercial property finance lender who offer a range of property finance loans to property investors & developers who are undertaking key property investment and development projects withinthe UK.

Loans include Buy to Let, bridging finance & development exits with a strategic plan to launch brand new products this year that meet the needs of their target demographic. Due to the outlined growth our client has created a brand new role within their Loan Management team. They are actively seeking to appoint an experienced, proactive and knowledgeable Collections & Recoveries Manager who will take ownership of a portfolioof clients and will assist with the management and redemption of special cases.

The arriving C&R Manager will purely focus on existing borrowers with live loans active within MFS portfolio and will focus particularly on the collection of interest and payments as well as working with borrowers whose loans may be falling behind schedule,in to disrepair or that require recovery plans to get them back on track.

As part of this activity you will work closely with the departments Loan Portfolio Managers & Assistants to understand borrower positions on the loan book, and to engage with such customers where it is deemed a requirement for the role. You will supportthe borrower in terms of identifying the best solution to get them back on track, and work collaboratively with the broader team to implement and monitor the success of such action.

For cases that cannot be recovered through other means, you will also assist with any litigation processes and will work closely with the Head of Operations and Legal Counsel on such matters.

You will ultimately be responsible for ensuring that our clients borrowers are able to achieve their loan repayments on time and in line with the contractual terms agreed for their loans. You will develop and will be supplied with regular reports and updateson loan performance and will guide borrowers wherever needed to support them & their positions.

**The core duties of the role will include (but may not be limited to)**:

- Monitoring borrower loan performance in line with contractual agreements
- Engaging with borrowers to ensure repayments are made on time and as per contract
- Working with borrowers who are struggling to make repayments, agreeing plans
- Assisting with any legal proceedings alongside Head of Ops and Legal Counsel
- Collaborating with the Loan Portfolio management team on borrower requirements
- Creating and updating borrower reports under your management
- Ensuring compliance to relevant regulations at all times
- Devising loan and portfolio strategies for borrowers

The ideal individual for this role will have experience of managing funded loans/borrowers for a property finance lender or mortgage provider. You will be confident in understanding loan agreements and contracts and in understanding the requirements of aborrower once the loan has been drawn down.

This may have been achieved as part of a broader loan portfolio/client relationships management role or may have been in a designated collections and recoveries position. Key is being able to demonstrate a proven track record of working with borrowers toensure commitment to their payment plans and contracts with the ability to work strategically with borrowers to ensure healthy and timely redemptions.

You will be able to identify problems or opportunities from loan reports and will be proactive in your style of addressing these issues via building relationships with and seeking solutions for our clients borrowers. You will be happy working in a dynamicand fast paced environment.

The basic salary is entirely relevant to the experience. The range has been outlined as between £40k - £65k basic salary, though higher offers may well be considered for exceptional & relevant experience. This will be complemented by access to our clientsfavourable bonus scheme which will assist with increasing annual earnings substantially.

Most notably, as the business is in such growth, it is expected that the arriving Collections & Recoveries Manager will be in an excellent position to achieve promotion internally. This is because as the business grows in scale, then the C&R team is likelyto follow suit. As our client operates a very strong and proven promote from within policy, many of their current Team Managers have followed the same path to growing teams beneath them within their area of specialism.

Due to the very collaborative nature of this role it would be based in our clients amazing Mayfair offices Monday - Friday each week.
