**About The Role**:
Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you want to help children, young people, and families thrive? Join Compass as a **Children, Young People and Families Volunteer** and play a key role in supporting local families and promoting health and wellbeing.

What you’ll be doing as a Children, Young People and Families Volunteer, you will have the chance to choose from a variety of rewarding activities, including:

- Community Outreach: Collecting and delivering resources to local communities, promoting services, health and wellbeing messaging, and providing access to help and support
- Resource Creation: Collaborating with Compass staff to develop and distribute resources aimed at improving emotional health and wellbeing
- Peer Support & Group Activities: Supporting the delivery of group peer participation and peer support events alongside Compass colleagues
- Health and Wellbeing Interventions: Assisting with group-based activities designed to promote health and wellbeing

**About You**:
We are looking for a motivated and flexible individual who thrives in a support service environment.

Your ability to be a welcoming and approachable individual who is reliable punctual and trustworthy.

You need to be understanding of the challenges faced by disadvantaged families and carers and show a non-judgmental approach to working with people from diverse backgrounds.

You will show strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, young people, and families and an ability to maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.

Above all, we are looking for someone who aligns with our values of integrity, valuing each individual, being solution focussed, whilst being consistent and reliable—someone who is committed to working collaboratively, supporting others, and always striving to make a positive impact.

Established for over 30 years, Compass is a national charity which works in communities across the UK providing services spanning substance misuse treatment and rehabilitation, early interventions for vulnerable young people, school-aged health programmes and associated prevention as well as treatment and health promotion initiatives.
