Job Purpose

As our HR Administrator, you’ll be a vital part of a people-first team that’s passionate about creating a positive workplace experience. You’ll provide essential day-to-day support to the HR department, helping to keep operations running smoothly and ensuring our employee records are accurate, secure, and up to date.

This role is more than just administration—it’s about being a trusted point of contact, a detail-driven organiser, and a valued contributor to the success of our HR service. You’ll work closely with HR Specialists, gaining exposure to a wide range of HR activities and making a real impact on how we support and care for our team.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration:

- Maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection requirements.
- Prepare and issue contracts of employment, offer letters, and other HR correspondence.
- Support the onboarding process, including preparing induction materials, scheduling inductions, and updating new starter records.
- Assist with processing leavers, including preparing leaver letters and updating HR systems.
- Ensure HR databases and systems are up to date with employee information (e.g. absences, training, personal details).
- File and archive HR documents electronically and physically.

Employee Support & Communication:

- Act as a first point of contact for general HR queries, escalating more complex matters to HR Specialists.

Recruitment & Training Support:

- Assist HR Specialists with recruitment administration
- Carry out onboarding and right-to-work checks.
- Maintain training records and support the organisation of learning and development activities.

General HR Support:

- Help prepare HR reports, statistics, and data for management when required.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as directed by HR Specialists or the HR Manager.

Skills & Attributes
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HR systems.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Professional, approachable, and supportive manner.

Experience & Qualifications
- A minimum of National 5 qualification in English
- Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role desirable (but not essential).
- Knowledge of HR processes and employment law basics is desirable.

- Working Hours:

- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 am - 4:00 pm
- Friday: 07:30 am - 3:00 pm
- 39 hours/week
- Some flexibility with start/finish times available
- Salary: £12.21 per hour
- Positions Available: 1 opportunity.
