People Advisor

**Location**: Strathclyde Business Park, Glasgow (hybrid working - 2 days from home)

**About the role**

We are seeking a People Advisor who will thrive in a small but fast paced and varied biotech environment. You will collaborate with the Director of People & Culture and in partnership with the business to implement the key deliverables aligned to the people plan. The role is varied and there is an opportunity for you to lead on various people related projects whilst effectively managing the day-to-day administration and transactional activities.

**About you**

Do you have experience providing HR support to Line Managers and employees, responding to queries and signposting to advice? Are you passionate about driving continuous improvement to progress people processes, procedures and company culture?

**What will you be responsible for?**
- You will work alongside the Director of People & Culture to support the implementation and delivery of the People Plan across the business.
- You will be the first point of contact for all HR queries, whilst supporting a range of projects and activities across the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, employee engagement, performance development, reward and employee well-being.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders and external partners to make decisions regarding operational delivery. You will play a pivotal role in supporting and coaching Line Managers.
- Accountable for ensuring a smooth end-to-end recruitment journey and supporting hiring managers throughout the process including drafting job descriptions, advertising roles, screening CV’s and organising interviews.
- Supporting the induction process for all new recruits to ensure a smooth onboarding experience including handling references, contracts, induction plans to set up each new joiner for success.
- Oversee the smooth offboarding process for departing employees, managing paperwork and ensuring a seamless transition.
- Seek out improvements to all aspects of the employee lifecycle, specifically talent retention, reward, employee engagement, performance management and development. You will play a significant role in supporting with the delivery of our employee engagement survey, analysis and initiatives to enhance engagement and retention.
- You will implement and support the company-wide wellbeing programme, working closely with the EHS Manager and the social and cultural team.
- Maintaining a clear understanding and providing up to date knowledge of the legal framework within which HR operates, so you can provide expert HR advice and guidance to all stakeholders.
- Conduct monthly HR metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement where necessary.

**What are we looking for?**
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualified.
- Up to date knowledge of employment law and legislation and someone who is comfortable in supporting Line Managers with employee relations case work.
- Confident communicator with sound interpersonal skills; capable of establishing strong connections with employees across all levels of the company.
- Experience in using key HR software and systems.
- Able to work within a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload effectively.
- Able to demonstrate problem solving, decision making and influencing skills.
- Proactive, independent and able to take initiative.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- A team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
