Do you have experience working with at-risk students and or overseeing educational welfare? Support our students as Welfare Manager. We are looking for an dedicated and experienced individual to join Harris Primary Academy Coleraine Park, overseeing welfare-relatedduties and Health and Safety across our academy. **About Us** Harris Primary Academy Coleraine Park is an Outstanding primary academy and we have high expectations and aspirations for your children. Everyone works hard and behaves well to achieve "exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can think or imagine' **Main Areas of Responsibility** Main parent contact: To be the first point of call for parents re admissions, attendance and punctuality, liaising with the pupil information manager. - Pupil Information and Analysis: To ensure the accur ate maintenance and management of all pupil data. Provide detailed analysis and evaluation of data and produce detailed repor ts/information as required including Free School Meals analysis. - Oversight of Lunchtime and extra-curricular opportunities: To lead and manage extended day, after-school clubs and boosters. Oversee and manage lunch time. - Health and Safety Lead: To oversee and be responsible for Health and Safety across academy. - Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and LAC lead:To assist the DSL with all safeguarding issues. Be responsible for admin and correspondence. Be the first point of call for outside agencies. - Pupil Welfare: To remove barriers to learning. suppor ting and challenging pupils and parents. Safeguarding and behaviour support. Ensuring all vulnerable pupils are supported and accessing all opportunities clubs/boosters/trip - Transition Lead:To support transition of all new pupils to the school. Oversee and ensure smooth nursery to Reception transition, Y6-7 transition. **Qualifications & Experience** Qualifications, Knowledge & Training - Degree, or equivalent - Knowledge of the Academy behaviour for learning policy - Knowledge of the range of barriers to learning that students face - Training in child protection and safeguarding procedures - Basic knowledge of first aid; e.g. emergency first aid course Experience - 3 years' experience of working in an inner city school or educational establishment in a pastoral capacity - Experience of dealing successfully with a range of issues influencing poor attendance - Experience of working with staff to ensure excellent standards of attendance and punctuality are maintained - Experience of working with families - Experience of working with challenging students and parents, and finding ways in which we can meet their needs more successfully Personal Skills & Qualities - Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice - Understanding of principles of student development and learning processes - Ability to plan effective actions for pupils at risk of underachieving - Effective use of ICT - Understanding of a range of welfare issues that may be affecting students and their families. - Well-developed interpersonal skills to be able to relate well to a wide range of people - Work constructively as part of a team whilst being able to demonstrate initiative. **Professional Development & Benefits** Our people are at the heart of our success.
