Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP)

Full time and Part time positions available

Salary Scale: £26,500 - £29,500 pro rata to hours worked.

We are currently recruiting for qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our innovative Impact on Teesside NHS Talking Therapies service, working with adults aged 16+ within the framework of the national NHS Talking Therapies (for Anxiety and Depression) Programme, delivering a variety of low intensity interventions via face to face, telephone, and digital modalities.

The successful post holders **must** hold a BPS accredited PWP course qualification (at either level 6 or 7), be enthusiastic, hardworking, and able to meet specified targets in order to deliver a high-quality Primary Care Mental Health Service.

Main duties of the job

Successful applicants will be employed by one of the organisations within the partnership which will be discussed at appointment. **You must have the right to work in the UK as we are currently unable to offer working visa opportunities.**

Whilst we continue to offer a range of ways for people to access our services including face-to-face appointments across the Teesside area, we will be happy to discuss options for hybrid working in line with patient and service needs. Although we will consider hybrid working opportunities, please be advised this will not be a fully remote post.

Job description

Job responsibilities

The postholder will provide a range of evidence-based low intensity psychological interventions within the framework of the national NHS England Talking Therapies programme, as part of the Impact on Teesside NHS Talking Therapies service.

The post-holder will also work within Impacts duty team where they will offer assessment and support to patients referred into the service.

This position may require flexible hours between 8am until 8pm weekdays.

Main

**Responsibilities**:
**To work as a member of the Impact on Teesside Talking Therapies team**
- To create and maintain effective working relationships within the wider Impact team and elsewhere.
- To offer advice and support to other members of the wider Primary Care Team, including GPs and other Health Professionals, on mental health issues, and in relation to appropriate referral pathways for patients with mental health needs.
- To liaise effectively with Secondary Care and voluntary sector organisations and services.
- To attend meetings and provide reports as required.
- To assist in the development and promotion of the service.

**To provide a range of low intensity CBT interventions**
- To provide assessment, including risk assessment, of clients referred to Impact on Teesside, involving making decisions around treatment/support pathways, as well as supporting with any signposting and onwa
