Case Worker
Due to our continued success and growth, we are recruiting for a brand-new innovative and compassionate team to develop our “Together in a Crisis” service across Teesside. The service will work alongside Teesside Crisis and intensive home treatment teams to provide a rapid response to people who, following contact with the NHS, are assessed as not in need of an urgent statutory response but who nevertheless are in emotional and psychological distress and may require an immediate response to their personally defined need.
The Teesside Together in a Crisis service will support adults aged 18 and over, covering the four local authority areas across Teesside (Redcar & Cleveland, Middlesbrough, Stockton and Hartlepool) and be accessible to the older population. Mental Health Concern already provide this successful model of support in other areas of the North East and are recruiting this new team who will create this responsive and flexible service in Teesside.
An essential element is a skilled staff team, with local knowledge, able to listen to what is important to the individual, help the person explore the solutions available and prioritise the actions needed to resolve their difficulties. We are looking for people who are passionate about empowerment, who can work alongside someone so they have as much control as possible and leave more equipped to tackle future problems before they reach crisis point. If people skills and problem solving are strong attributes for you, this may be the perfect role for you.
You will be working from community venues in Tees Valley with some home working. Working hours will mainly be office hours during the working week with some evening and weekend work to cover on-call and to meet client needs.
