- Duties & Responsibilities

**Purpose**

**Safety**
- Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities (Essential)**
- Build server & storage infrastructure as per customer requirements and perform onshore iFAT
- Provide support for install shipping and warehousing for equipment at customer sites
- Collaborating with multiple vendors and customer for different phases of install, configure & test
- VMware Administration and configuration in a large, multi-site environment
- Analyze system log files and determine appropriate courses of action.
- Work with customer & vendors to ensure smooth transition of servers into BAU support
- Create standard build documentation and assist with knowledge transfer to other members of the team.
- Travel to customer sites (onshore/offshore) may be required

**Supervisory Responsibilities**
- This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.

**Reporting Relationship**

Reports to Network Engineering Manager
- Qualifications

**Qualifications**

**REQUIRED**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent education and experience, and minimum of five (5) years’ experience installing and maintaining Operating Systems, Infrastructure Systems, and Management Systems.
- Demonstratable experience with VMware, Virtualization, ESXi installation and configuration.

**DESIRED**
- Windows Active Directory and Windows Server Systems experience
- Implement, Configure and maintain RedHat Linux Servers
- Storage Systems and Storage Area Network administration experience
- Understanding of automation scripting using Shell and PowerShell.
- Infrastructure Systems management: Data Center, UPS, Storage, Network, and Virtualization (ESXi, VCenter, Hypervisor).

- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have complete knowledge of Microsoft Windows servers and environments.
- They should also have advanced knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and the ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve them quickly and effectively.

Travel
- Must be willing to 50% travel to onshore or offshore locations. Having an offshore (BOSIET & Medical) certificate or the ability to obtain one before employment is required to qualify for this position.
