Our client is a leading global real estate services firm who are undergoing a phase of rapid expansion. This role will lead the delivery of the (ESG) programme for the Investors account across the UK-managed estate.
The client has ambitious ESG objectives including achieving Net Zero Carbon across their portfolio and delivering positive social outcomes. This role will be dedicated to ensuring that the portfolio under management is on track to achieve and meet the client'sESG targets & objectives. You will coordinate and collaborate across functions & service lines internally, key supply chain partners and work closely with the client's ESG and asset management teams.

**Responsibilities**
- Drive implementation of ESG strategy across the managed portfolio.
- Establish ESG management plans for every multi-let asset through collaboration and coordination with site teams.
- Establish 'value for money' strategies for implementation of the ESG management plans coordinating closely with teams internally and the client's asset managers.
- Develop tenant and community plans across the portfolio to achieve meaningful positive social impacts and manage client reporting routines against agreed social value metrics. This includes working with site teams and third parties to oversee the implementationof national, and property level programmes (this is with the support of a social value co-ordinator on account).
- Support development of the ESG service offering on account to ensure they continue to evolve offering and demonstrate service excellence.
- In collaboration with the client's ESG team and asset management team develop and support the carbon reduction and net-zero strategy at portfolio and property level.
- Coordinate implementation of initiatives to support the transition to Net Zero Carbon with project management teams, contractors, and technical service teams.
- Carry out routine energy management duties and oversee the client's smart optimisation programme (BMS optimisation).
- Engage in and closely follow market developments with regards to ESG in the real-estate industry and sector decarbonisation initiatives and have a view on these.
- Oversee the delivery of the client's energy audit programme across the managed portfolio and ensure survey findings are integrated into ESG management plans.
- Manage asset level legislative and regulatory risks current and future planning across managed assets primarily EPC and MEES compliance.
- Manage internal and external relationships including the client, local authorities, service providers and statutory bodies.
- Provide technical sustainability support & advice including the training for Property management & facilities management on account regarding the client's process & procedures.
- Co-ordinate with other internal service lines to share knowledge and create consistency in service delivery.
- Establish and maintain external contacts with statutory authorities and other groups and associations applicable and beneficial to the services provided.
- Support sustainability lead initiatives with key supply chain partners and procurement function related to the client's account, including M&E and Landscaping (biodiversity) as example.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience working on client account as a Sustainability Co-ordinator/Analyst/ Manager.
- Proven track record across a variety of property asset classes and client sectors.
- Experience with working on projects and/or initiatives that the primary outcome is social impact i.e., changes to employment policies, site accessibility planning, DEI, and supply chain policy.
- Experience in leading projects on time to deliver seamless client experiences. Delegating to the team to ensure the right expertise and experiences are engaged to gain the most from the available resources, time, and desired objectives.
- Experience in successfully taking on responsibility of sizeable and complex client instructions.
- Knowledge and/or technical experience in Sustainability & ESG issues and relevant concepts and frameworks where appropriate.
- Commercial awareness from experience and/or qualification.
- Experience of new build development through to management (construction site experience an advantage).
- Good working knowledge/understanding of building operating systems (mechanical and electrical, controls).
- Good Written Communication Skills & attention to detail.
- Cost control, variance and forecasting reporting.
- IT skills inc. Word, Excel to intermediate level.
- Knowledge of Output Specifications.
- Management of Performance-based contracts.
- Experience in working within an ESG culture.
- Self-driven and focused on making a difference. Proactively looks for solutions to issues to issues and problems, not getting sidetracked by internal politics.
- Solution-focused, ability to logically establish the root cause to problems.
- Self-motivated and passionate with a genuine desire to help others.
- The ability to balance stakeholder and business priorities. Have a calm resilience when deadlines clash.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, able to intuitively adapt communication approach. Be aware of personal impact and works hard to create a positive personal brand image.
