The Safeguarding and Vulnerabilities Team at Scunthorpe General Hospital are looking to appoint an administrative assistant to work alongside the safeguarding secretary for safeguarding children.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person.

The post is part time, 20 hours, which will be worked over 5 afternoons Monday to Friday. Previous experience of using hospital systems will be an advantage.

General IT skills are essential as is significant understanding of client confidentiality.

Please note this post can be emotionally challenging given the group of clients we work with, however support and supervision is available within the team.

The duties of the post holder are to assist the Administrative Secretary (Safeguarding Children, Safeguarding Adults) in providing a comprehensive administration and secretarial service to the Safeguarding Team. The nature of this post necessitates a close working relationship with the lead Secretary with a strict adherence to the rules of patient confidentiality in this sensitive area of work.

The post holder will be required to assist the safeguarding secretary in the delivery of their role which will include a variety of admin and clerical tasks covering both paper and electronic recording systems.
