Technical Training Instructor

An NOV Technical Instructor’s role is to empower customers to safely operate and maintain NOV equipment. As an instructor, you will be responsible for developing, planning and delivering Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) product training within and out with NOV facilities, e.g., customer premises, both onshore and offshore.
You will work as part of our expert team to develop new and update existing courses on the latest technology. Through delivery of this training and subsequent support, you will encourage both clients’ personal and team growth and development.

NOV Training
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Deliver technical training to internal and external customers on NOV equipment.
- Deliver hydraulic and mechanical training, including the Minimum Education Recommendations (MERs) for Hydraulics & NOV’s internal Hydraulic and Mechanical Discipline Skills programmes:
BFPA Minimum Educational Recommendations (MERs): British Fluid Power Association
Hydraulics Level 1 (Example) - Home (nov.cloud)
- Perform trainee competence assessments, including CETOP Level 1:
Education - CETOP | European Fluid Power
- Develop and update training courses with supporting materials as and when required relating to new equipment, innovative processes and in line with Health and Safety Requirements.
- Work in partnership with Engineering and Repair groups, embracing equipment and process updates.
- Develop and deliver technical training programmes reflective of company processes and quality standards.
**Qualifications**
Essential:
- Completed recognised Apprenticeship or equivalent
- Minimum of HNC level in the relevant technical qualification / discipline
Desirable:
- HND or above in relevant discipline
**Experience**
Essential:
- Post apprenticeship experience in service / breakdown technical role
**Desirable**:
- Service experience within the oil industry
- Proven experience as a technical trainer
**Skills, training, or special knowledge**
Essential:
- NOV Rig Floor Equipment experience
- Presentation and communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Including PowerPoint
- Knowledge of modern training and learning techniques
Desirable:
- Hydraulic systems maintenance & troubleshooting
