**The Role**:

- Manage and balance team workload
- Review all payment requests ahead of FC/FD approval
- Overseeing query resolution management and assisting team on problem accounts.
- Review aged debt reports and challenge team to resolve outstanding queries
- Provide cover for Payroll Manager.
- Drive process improvements and new system implementations.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance and control across AP & AR ledgers
- VAT & Customs duty reporting.
- Payment practices reporting.
- An experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk (or relevant) Ideally from the food/drinks/distribution/FMCG industry.
- Highly analytical - capable of breaking down and understanding complex data
- Capable of managing a varied work-load, adaptable to various levels of experience.
- Confident communicator - capable at all levels of a large organisation
- Initiative-taking - enthusiastic and capable of driving performance always
