**Job Description**:
Pertemps are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Officer to work on a permanent contract at our well-known Public-Sector client based in Edinburgh.
Starting ASAP
£24,417 to £26,013 per annum
Hybrid working - Edinburgh based
Part time - 21 hours per week, 3 days per week
The main duties would be:
Contribute to the operations of the purchase ledger team on a daily basis to deliver an excellent customer service
Assist with month and year end purchase ledger procedures
Ensure the ongoing credit worthiness is maintained at all times
Maintain strong internal and external relationships, providing support and guidance pertaining to the role to all College stakeholders
Ability to handle confidential information, ensuring that sensitive supplier data is processed and safeguarded in accordance with the data protection act and College policy
Maintain an updated list of authorised signatories
Ensure supplier details (address, bank details etc.) are maintained correctly to enable the smooth payment of creditors
If issues or inefficiencies with procedure and processes are identified, to raise these with senior finance staff and assist in understanding the issue and working towards a solution
Provide cover during holiday periods/sickness absences for other finance staff
Essential:
Experience of using a computerised financial system
Excellent IT skills including the use of complex Excel functions to analyse and present data
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
The ability to maintain high standards of work while working under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
