POSITION PURPOSE

The role will work closely with the Senior Traders locally and globally to experience both low and high touch trading, to provide best execution, conduct relative value analysis and to provide value added service to the Investment process.

Principal Responsibilities
- Support the trading/investment process by gathering and analyzing market color and communicating relevant information to Traders, Portfolio Managers & Analysts
- Maintain and expand the existing Low Touch Trading oversight role, focused on liquid Fixed Income instruments.
- Continuously assess trade performance and execution strategies, leveraging transaction cost analysis (TCA) and other analytics tools to identify areas for improvement and enhance overall portfolio performance
- Develop high touch Trading competencies in each Market traded on the London Desk
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, dealers, and other market participants to ensure access to competitive pricing, liquidity, and market insights.
- Maximize and maintain best execution practices
- Monitor market developments, news, and trends to identify potential trading opportunities and risks
- Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant market regulations and compliance requirements
- Partner with global trading teams in London, Baltimore and Hong Kong to access liquidity and support the trading/investment process
- Utilize technology platforms to maximize trading desk efficiency

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

- 3 years of relevant trading/industry experience in FI markets
- Experience on a Trading desk
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, high ethical standards
- Ability to work with precision under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a team with portfolio managers, analysts, and traders
- Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively with broker/dealers
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred:

- Proficiency in using trading and analytics platforms, such as Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, FlexTrade or other relevant tools
- Knowledge of CRD workflows
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to fixed income trading
- MIFID II conversant
