As the Operations Controller, your key duty will be to collaboratively work with a dynamic team in the efficient delivery of Stand Allocation. Your role involves optimising facility utilisation and responding to changes in operational requirements. Additionally, you will monitor arrivals and departures information, providing valuable insights to the Aircraft Operations Duty Manager for informed decision-making and strategic developments.
In this capacity, you will be tasked with the vigilant monitoring of IT systems, promptly addressing identified faults. Your role extends to liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including Air Traffic Control, Airlines, Control Authorities and Terminal Management. This combined approach ensures effective management of disruptions, working diligently to minimise them when possible. All actions will be aligned with regulations and Heathrow’s policy.
This is a shift-based role working 4 on, 4 off - 12.5-hour shifts (days and nights)
- Oversee the stand plans for the day.
- Monitor the operation of IT systems and take appropriate action.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including airlines, stand planners and NATS.
- Action reported air bridge and fixed electrical ground power faults.
- Allocate stands to maximise utilisation of facilities and respond to unplanned changes, emergencies and diversions.
- Prior experience of stand planning.
- Knowledge of an airside environment.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Previous stand planning software's, TMS for example.
- Strong stakeholder engagement.
- Holds a full UK drivers licence **.**
**Ideally, you will also have**:
- Knowledge of aircrafts types and its importance to stand planning.
