**Role: Transformation Director** **Location: Crawley/Remote** **Role type: Permanent** **Start date: ASAP** **Salary: £100-110K + bonus (10%) + pension (8%) + share options + medical & life insurance + 25 days** As the Technology & Transformation Director, you will have a joint focus of both continual improvement and technical initiatives, with a strong emphasis on delivery and attention to detail. You will help to develop the digital roadmap by exploring new technologies - mostly within the Microsoft environment. You will also participate in the growth of the IT department to ensure strategic alignment between IT solutions and business needs, playing a leading role in moving the overall platform strategy from on prem servicesto the Cloud, ensuring they are used efficiently, securely and cost effectively, balancing the need for long term investment with the quality day-to-day delivery of services. **Duties include;** - This role is focused on driving change and transformation to continually deliver improved business performance - Shaping the delivery of a transformation and continuous improvement programme, and execution of strategic activities utilising currently available and future technology and ways of working - Responsible for the delivery of all projects that are agreed as within the scope of the programme - Plan and design the programme and proactively monitor its overall progress, resolve issues, and initiate corrective action - Manage the programme’s budget, monitor the expenditures and costs against benefits as the programme progresses - Interface with the IT Operations, Information Security and Enterprise Business Systems teams to ensure Innovation is aligned to overall strategy and the agreed Technology Roadmap - Stakeholder management - briefings, track the progress of project activities and requirements - Producing reports/documents/presentations - Proactive management of action tracking and status reporting - Day-to-day support for the transformation activities and resources on governance, communication, content development and engagement - Working across IT to ensure alignment on key activities and strategic projects to both share and leverage best practice - Explore and promote innovative solutions based on new technologies or new approaches - Help to develop a new function within IT and performance manage the team to develop their careers and foster a vibrant and exciting team culture In addition to excellent communication, collaboration and people management skills, you should possess very good organisational skills, be a pragmatic person and highly focused on delivery. Experience required; - Innovative mindset and keen interest in newest thinking around transformation, the future of work, and technology disrupters, with a genuine interest in, and exposure to, Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) topics - Detailed understanding of infrastructure, network, database, security, and cloud-based solutions (specifically Microsoft architecture, solutions, platforms and services) - Ability to think long-term and beyond immediate area of responsibility, requiring business awareness, critical analysis and integration of information, ability to bridge "old and new" ways of working and to develop action-oriented plans - A forward-thinking approach with excellent interpersonal skills, friendly and approachable and naturally empathetic - An energetic and inspirational technologist, able to motivate those around them, with a pro-active drive and enthusiasm to ensure delivery of high-quality IT solutions - Strong presentation and inter-personal skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex issues with both technical and non-technical audiences - A natural problem solver, analytical, inquisitive with a desire to keep up with emerging technologies, along with high level of self-motivation, innovation, and the determination to challenge norms and really make a difference - Proven experience of end-to-end project lifecycle and risk management and demonstrates strong commercial and financial acumen - Minimum 10 years’ senior IT management experience (ideally three years+ in a consultative position) with a wide breadth of IT knowledge and experience
