**Logistics Director, Stoke-on-Trent, £90,000 - £100,000 + Benefits**

In this role you'll report into the MD and oversee the Logistics function, including both warehouse operations and international transport, dealing with sites across UK, Europe and the USA.

**So what will be involved in the role?**

If you've worked at Director-level previously for a fast-paced international business then you'll already have a good idea of what's involved - this is a strategic yet hands-on role and you will be involved in a variety of ongoing projects ranging from WMSimplementations, driving continuous improvement initiatives and 3PL management. The position will work collaboratively with a variety of other functions including Finance, Sales and Customer Service.

You'll achieve your targets through utilising your inspirational leadership and ability to identify & execute operational efficiencies.

Being data-driven will allow you to direct and develop the logistics strategy and a key element of the role will be 3PL management - ensuring the best service possible is being received, and striving to optimise the supply chain.

Through a variety of direct reports you will lead the UK warehouse operations including team structure, strategy planning and clear leadership.

**What are we looking for?**

Ideally you'll have experience already operating at Logistics Director/ Operations Director level. You'll need to be able to demonstrate experience managing both warehouse and transport (ideally 3PL) on an international scale.

Given the nature of the role, you'll need to demonstrate the gravitas and inspirational leadership that is expected in a position of influence.

Experience of leading and delivering a variety of logistics projects, particularly WMS implementations/ upgrades, and carrier/ 3PL management would be ideal.

Qualifications or experience of Lean/ Six Sigma would be welcomed.

Whilst the role is primarily based in the UK, you will need to be flexible for business travel internationally when required.
