JG Pears Group is one of the UK's leading processors of animal by-products and food waste. Pioneering environmentally aware practices since we started out in 1972, we play a vital role in the agricultural and food industries.

We are looking for a problem-solving leader, passionate about development, to join J G Pears Group as a Logistics Graduate, with the goal to become a member of senior logistics management team within 5 years.

This role belongs under the J G Pears Graduate Training Programme and will include NVQ Level 3 and 5 in Management, IOSH Managing Safely

The Logistics Department at J G Pears Group manage 80 trucks and 300 trailers to ensure the smooth and efficient animal by-product movement.

**Responsibilities**
- To provide administration support to the Group Logistics Director and senior management team providing reports, data spread sheets as required.
- Learn and support all logistics management: compliance, fleet, planning with hands-on practical experience
- Create, and manage daily and weekly logistics planning for vehicles
- Attend specific logistics seminars keeping up to date with new legislation and new technology
- Learn UK and EU driving laws and the Highway Code
- Learn and produce a report on Working Time Directive (WTD).
- Produce simple guidelines to ensure drivers understand WTD.
- Provide up to date files for all company vehicles including, MOT, Tax, test, repairs etc
- Ensure database is kept up to date on all company vehicles
- Ensure CPC Training is up to date for all drivers
- Liaise with Accounts Department and calculate mileage for fuel costings

- Degree within logistics management or business management
