Due to our continual growth, we are looking to appoint a full time**, **permanent** **HR Officer to join our HR team.
Reporting to the Group’s HR Manager, the HR Officer will support the HR team in our **Belfast, Mallusk and Portadown sites**. You will work collaboratively as part of the wider HR team and provide HR support to the other depots throughout the RiverRidge Group, as and when required.
In addition to managing the day-to-day HR activities, the successful applicant will work closely with the HR Manager in the development of our employee engagement and well-being strategy.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process
- Maintaining all electronic and paper files/documentation, including maintenance of Time and Attendance systems
- Assist in the completion of statutory reports, including Annual Monitoring Return and Article 55 Review
- Provide support and guidance to Line Managers and employees in line with HR policies, procedures and appropriate legislation
- Support supervisors and management to ensure compliance with the disciplinary and grievance processes, including participation in investigations / disciplinary and grievance hearings
- Absence management; investigate and report on all levels of absence
- Assist Line Managers with the performance management process and probationary review procedure
- Provide HR statistics and reports, when required
- Support the HR Manager on the development of Learning and Development initiatives
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and HR initiatives in line with legislation, best practice guidelines, and company guidelines
- Play an integral role developing our culture, alongside leading, identifying and planning activities that are supportive of our company communication and engagement and well-being strategies
- Assist with various HR projects as and when required
- Contribute towards the delivery of all HR related KPI’s
- Undertaking any other duties that may be required to support the effective running of the HR Department
**Essential Criteria**:
- Associate Level CIPD Membership (ideally Level 5)
- Strong knowledge of current NI employment legislation
- At least two years’ experience working in a generalist HR Officers role and ability to demonstrate experience designing and delivering employee engagement initiatives and promoting internal communications
- Enjoy working with people and display excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Recognise the importance of confidentiality
- Have good problem
- solving skills to deal with disputes, grievances and staffing issues
- Excellent organisational skills
- IT literate - competent in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software
- Valid UK driver’s license and access to own transport/business insurance, as you will be required to travel to other depots throughout the group as and when required
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Previous experience working within an HR department within the manufacturing or transport industries
- Previous experience dealing with Trade Unions
