Legal Claims Handler

The Legal Claims Hander is responsible for the receipt of the initial instructions and initial matter creation and associated checks to support risk assessment.
Primary Duties
- Logging Client’s signed Forms of Authority and Completed Questionnaire on the Case Management System
- Requesting and logging required documentation from the Client/CMC
- DSAR Reviews
- Carrying out Welcome Call with Client
- Request all relevant information from the relevant parties as soon as the need is identified
- Preparing quantum calculations
- Preparing the case up to Letter of Claim being sent to defendants
- File management
- All necessary calls and correspondence with the Client, Defendant and third parties in the initial stages of the Client’s claim.
- Being proactive in your approach to the role by researching the area of law you practice in and keeping up to date with all relevant case law and industry updates
Attributes & Competencies Required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with both staff and members of the public
- English GCSE (grade 9-1, A-C or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent)
- Proven ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads
- Flexible approach to working as some evening and weekend work might be required to meet the Client’s needs
- Capability to undertake all assignments in a timely manner Desirable
- Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection
**Salary**: £14,021.93-£27,235.59 per year
