The Legal Claims Handler is responsible for the receipt of the initial instructions and initial matter creation and associated checks to support risk assessment.

**Primary Duties**
- Logging and verifying Client’s signed Forms of Authority and Completed Questionnaire on the Case Management System
- Requesting and verifying required documentation from the Client/CMC
- DSAR Reviews including Limitation and Out of Scope Reviews
- Carrying out the Welcome Call with the Client
- Request all relevant information from the relevant parties as soon as the need is identified
- Reviewing Quantum Reports and evidence in respect of the clients claim
- Preparing quantum calculations and offers to the defendant including advice to the client
- Preparing the case up to Letter of Claim being sent to defendants
- File management including individual task list and exception report management
- All necessary calls and correspondence with the Client, Defendant and third parties in the initial stages of the Client’s claim.
- Being proactive in your approach to the role by researching the area of law you practice in and keeping up to date with all relevant case law and industry updates.

**Attributes & Competencies Required**
- Required_
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with both staff and members of the public
- English GCSE (grade 9-1, A-C or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent)
- Proven ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads
- Flexible approach to working as some evening and weekend work might be required to meet the Client’s needs
- Capability to undertake all assignments in a timely manner
- Desirable_
- Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £16,500.00-£17,290.00 per year
