To ensure that complaints and concerns from patients, their families and carers are investigated and that a comprehensive response is provided to the complainant. The department identifies improvement opportunities arising from complaints and monitors theimplementation of actions.

**Description**
- To provide an identifiable, accessible service to assist and support patients and carers with queries and or concerns, providing information to them on PALS, the NHS Complaints Procedure, or other appropriate processes.
- To advise patients and carers on the complaint process and independent advocacy services.
- Ensure complaints are analysed and passed promptly to service areas to enable them to begin their investigation.
- To ensure data recorded on the complaints received is accurate complete and consistent and enables identification of themes and trends in the complaints received.
- Managerial responsible for Complaints Coordinator and/or Administrator.
- Provide advice and support to departments and services on complaints feedback.

**Profile**
- Previous exposure of working within a complaints role.
- Great office management and project management skills.
- Knowledge of the NHSsystem for complaints management.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
- Through knowledge of the functions of the Patient Advice
and Liaison Service
