Why the Advanced Analytics Graduate programme?
As an Advanced Analytics Analyst, we’ll help you develop specialist advanced analytics expertise. We’ll help you gain technical skills, including programming, modelling and visualising data using sophisticated market-leading platforms and tools. We’ll also support you to develop important consulting skills, such as understanding and solving problems, turning your insights into actions, and presenting data-driven findings to stakeholders.
You’ll be responsible for delivering hypothesis-driven analysis on a range of data sources across key business issues relating to Barclays’ customers, products and channels.
You’ll also be using advanced analytics to deliver analytical ‘deep dives’ and create data assets that drive the performance of the bank, enabling smarter, faster, and more proactive decision making across Barclays.
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to become an expert in Data and Analytics in a multi-award-winning team, shaping what the best customer experiences will look like for years to come.

To be considered for this programme, you must be motivated and curious with a degree or expected degree - in any area.
Ideally, you would have a keen interest in analytics, data business and finance, and be passionate about relationship building as well as being a problem solver.

Purpose of the role
To participate in the day-to-day activities of the retail banking and data analytics division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.
Accountabilities
- Execution of small research projects, research to support strategic decision making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for retail banking data and analytics.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
- Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for retail banking data and analytics.
- Management of client relationships and provision of customer service support to clients and customers, under steadily decreasing supervision, responding to questions about products and services, processing of transactions.
- Management of the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support in decision making for retail banking data and analytics.
- Training and mentoring of junior colleagues.
