**The Opportunity**
You will play a crucial part in the function of our Community Safety and Wellbeing directorate. Your role will be based in our Domestic Abuse Team and a direct report of Domestic Abuse Service Manager.

You will undertake direct work with clients who have experienced domestic and sexual violence and abuse, to ensure they receive an appropriate service. This role will directly support victims of domestic abuse who are accessing hospital and health settings across West Sussex, via their A&E departments or other clinical pathways.

You will manage a caseload, focusing on all levels of risk in a proactive way, and incorporating risk assessment and safety planning.

You will work within a multi-agency setting and keep the clients’ safety central to all coordinated responses.

Working in collaboration with hospital staff, you will provide consultation and training to support with the identification and response to domestic and sexual violence and abuse.

**About You**
You will have a passion for supporting victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence and will be able to communicate effectively with multi-agency partners, so that their voices are heard.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, communicating on several different levels with multiple stakeholders and adapting your style accordingly.

You will have keen attention to detail, be comfortable working independently and be at ease in this fast-paced, agile environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads, and priorities. You will have the ability to respond to complex situations calmly and effectively.
