We are currently recruiting for a Transport Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
AB Texel UK Ltd transports agricultural bulk goods, mainly potatoes, to various factories across the UK and EU. Our Transport Coordinator plays an important part in the process of getting the products we transport to the final customer, while also ensuring we deliver a high level of service.
We have modern equipment, and new employees receive thorough training with us. They are intensively supported and supervised by an experienced AB colleague who can teach them all aspects of our specific trade. Our new employees only begin to work independently once they have achieved our high standards and built-up sufficient experience. As only then are these employees able to call themselves true AB specialists.
As a Transport Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing customer relations, communicating with customers and growers, debriefing drivers as well as working on a reactive basis, resolving any issues that arise.
You will also be required to carry out the following (this list is not exhaustive):
- Keeping an eye on the day, using our Vehicle Tracking system, to promptly be able to establish any issues that may arise.
- Update customers and growers with any early/late arrival times.
- Problem solve any issues that may arise.
- Liaise and organise with the workshop, the planners, and drivers to ensure compliance is met.
- Assist with customs requirements and International paperwork to allow movement between the UK and EU.
- Liaise with planners, customers, clients and drivers.
- Data input including the input of new customer orders, update existing orders, creating addresses.
- Manage the driver rota to ensure all trucks have drivers in them.

If you have a transport or customer service background, with attention to detail, strong communication skills and a proven track record of delivering a high level of customer service, you could be the person we’re looking for, to join our growing team.
Ideally you would have:
- Previous experience within a transport or customer service role, with a good understanding of transport.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- IT literate
- Attention to detail
- You can work well as part of a team and/or on your own initiative.
- Strong organisational skills
- The ability to prioritise, multitask and manage your workload.

Hours of work: 0730 - 1700 (with an hour lunch break)
Pay: From £25,282.40 per year
