**Position Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated Laser Technical Internal Sales professional to join our Laser, Press & Fabrication Department. This role is integral to one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of materials handling equipment, engineered to the highest specifications. You will work within a dynamic internal sales team, responsible for quoting laser cutting, pressing, and fabrication work for both internal interdepartmental projects and external subcontract clients.
Our products are manufactured from concept to completion to client specifications and in house requirements, ranging from off-the-shelf repeat orders to bespoke solutions tailored to client needs. This is a fast-paced role requiring a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and a focus on achieving sales targets to meet the demands of both internal and external clients.
**Key Responsibilities**
The following responsibilities are indicative but not exhaustive, and additional tasks may be required to support business needs:
- Utilise Sigmanest Quoting Software to generate accurate and competitive quotes for laser cutting, pressing, and fabrication work.
- Read and interpret client technical drawings to ensure precise quoting and project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and management to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Maximise output while minimising errors, prioritising quality in every task.
- Collaborate daily with factory personnel to ensure smooth sales and production operations.
- Contribute to achieving sales targets and maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client satisfaction.
**Desired Skills & Experience**
- Proficiency in operating Sigmanest Quoting Software (or similar quoting tools, with a willingness to learn Sigmanest).
- Ability to read and interpret technical client drawings with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in client-facing interactions.
- Exceptional organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
- A proactive, highly motivated approach to work, with a focus on achieving results.
- Methodical and detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently, using initiative, while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and planning workloads effectively to meet time-sensitive requirements.
- Previous experience in a technical sales or manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
