We are looking for two enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join the Isle of Man Borders Team as Immigration Executive Officers.

Within this role, you will work as part of a small team delivering effective and efficient services across Passport, Immigration and Nationality services, but with an emphasis on Immigration.

The role will be attractive to a proactive self-starter who has a dynamic, flexible and pragmatic approach to work.

The main duties of the post will be:

- Attending court directions and hearings in respect of immigration appeals
- Undertaking immigration compliance and enforcement activities including monitoring migrants to show they continue to meet the conditions of their leave and identification and lawful removal, where necessary, of those persons who have committed offences under immigration legislation
- Carrying out border control duties including international arrivals

The ability to organise yourself in a fast paced, multi-service environment where there is a need to respond quickly to changing demands is essential. You will have strong and demonstrable interpersonal skills to be able to engage with a range of colleagues, customers and stakeholders on a daily basis.

You’ll have access to all the courses the Isle of Man Government offer, through LEAD, our Learning, Education and Development Service.

You’ll have access to the Government Activ8 scheme which aims to deliver and co-ordinate a wide range of inclusive physical activities across the Island for all abilities, helping participants improve their overall health, fitness, wellbeing and reach personal targets.. Sessions are led by qualified instructors all around the Island.

**Additional information**

Please note a security clearance check is required for this post,** **which the Department will cover the cost of for you. Please note if you have lived for more than 6 months outside of the UK in the last 5 years, you will be required to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the appropriate authorities in the relevant locations, please read the guidance about how to obtain this letter.

A full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required for this role. A uniform will be provided.

You will be required to attend the Home Office Border Force training which is undertaken off-island and is a minimum of three weeks.

A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
