**About the role and our team**

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Executive Officer to join the Crown and Elections team

As the Executive Officer in our team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of electoral registration, ensuring that our registration process is efficient and effective. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including government officials, legal teams, and electoral administrators to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of the Isle of Man's electoral processes.

You will provide essential support in overseeing and managing Crown appointments and other senior level appointments. Working with the team, you will provide support to committees, assisting with the planning of landmark events such as the Isle of Man's engagement with the Coronation of HM King Charles III.

You will also have line management for one colleague with a strong focus on their professional development as well as your own. This is a key position that demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail and a strong commitment to upholding democratic principles.

Some of your Key Responsibilities include:

- Develop and implement strategies to increase voter registration and engagement
- Manage the electoral registration team, providing guidance and support to ensure that all registration activities are carried out accurately and efficiently
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations governing voter registration and elections
- Respond to queries and concerns from members of the public regarding voter registration, elections and any other matters relating to the team's remit
