We also have colleagues based in Defra offices, including Bristol, Cambridge and York where we share office space.

This advertised vacancy is for two different roles within the MMO Marine Planning Team and the Marine Licensing Team:
1 x Marine Planner Administrative Officer
1 x Marine Licensing Business Support Officer (AO)

**Marine Planner Administrative Officer**
The Administrative Officer (AO) for the Marine Planning team and Strategic Renewables Unit (SRU) will play an integral role in the smooth running of the teams providing day-to day administrative support.
Booking meetings, team communication and note taking forms some of the role. Booking or supporting others to book travel, accommodation and meeting facilities will also be part of the role. You will support the preparation of relevant briefings and information including the marine planning newsletter. You will ensure effective document management (including SharePoint sites) and accurate record keeping.
You will manage communications including the Marine Planning and SRU mailboxes and telephone enquiries. You will respond to requests from the public and signpost to the correct contacts. You will provide finance support including budget management, ordering equipment such as stationery etc.
The right person will be flexible to adapt to changing situations and respond with energy and commitment to take on additional tasks that may be outside their usual day to day duties.
**Marine Licensing Business Support Officer (AO)**
The Business Support Officer (AO) for the Marine Licensing Team will play an integral role in the smooth running of the team providing day-to-day administrative support. You will have a range of responsibilities supporting the delivery of training, recruitment and providing administrative support to the Marine Licensing Team to ensure the operational delivery of marine licensing ministerial and business targets.
