**A driving license is essential for this role**

**_Hours _**_: 7.30am-5pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8-12 _

**_Location _**_: Jewson, Isenhurst Sawmills, Cross in Hand, Heathfield TN21 0UB _

**_Key Responsibilities _**

This is a multi skilled role where you'll be the first point of contact for our customers - you'll be responsible for serving customers at the trade counter, processing orders and payments as well as picking orders and loading in our yard and occasionally performing deliveries to our customers. This is a key role in the whole branch operation
- Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
- Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions
- Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, both face to face and over the phone
- Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, launch new promotions and maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts
- Pick and prepare customer orders in the yard/warehouse, loading and unloading customer and delivery vehicles (forklift training provided)
- Perform deliveries to our customers, unloading orders at site, using our 3.5t transit van
- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

**_Required Skills and Experience _**
- **A manual driving license, held for more than 1 year, with no more than 6 points**
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work accordingly
- Experience in a busy customer facing role with strong communication skills
- IT literate
- A positive and flexible attitude to work
