Purchase Ledger Supervisor

Due to the growth of the business, we have a brand new** Purchase Ledger Supervisor **vacancy This is a key role supporting our friendly Purchase Ledger team as we continue to acquire new practices.

**About the role**

With the support of our Purchase Ledger Manager, you will be involved in the following areas:
**Ticket Allocation**
- All purchase ledger queries enter our ticketing system. In this role you will allocate tickets to the Purchase Ledger team, review ticket allocation numbers and guide the team as necessary.
- Review the open tickets for the team to identify if they are in need of support with processing, review closed tickets to identify if there any reductions in productivity and investigate why.

**Invoices from Laboratories - Processing & Reporting**
- Ensure the purchase ledger team process invoices from the Dental Labs timely and accurately. Each Purchase Ledger Administrator will create a ‘Lab Pack’ for each clinician, merging PDF’s of each Lab invoice, and once constructed they are sent out to Practice Manager, Finance Business Partner and Clinician.
- When the Purchase Ledger has closed on working day 4, there are reports to run from Sage that will identify the Lab invoices processed in the month, this is then checked and handed over to the Group Financial Accounting (GFA) Team on working day 5 for the preparation of the Associate Pay Deductions.

**Purchase Ledger Transactions**:

- The Banking team will provide on a daily basis a list of Direct Debits payments relating to Purchase Ledger transactions that will need to be processed in Sage either to the Purchase or Nominal Ledger
- Oversee the Statement Reconciliations for Accounts over £1k
- Business Rates - process invoices in Sage and maintain spreadsheet used by Finance Business Partners, follow up missing invoices
- Work with Senior Business Partners (SBP), GFA & the Banking Team to process the Associate Pay for PHIL, IOM and Ireland (8th & 20th of each month)
- Work with Senior Supervisor on plan for Holiday/Sickness cover

**General**
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all finance teams.
- Assist the Senior Supervisor and Purchase Ledger Manager with any ad hoc queries and process improvements.

**About you**
- experience of working in a purchase ledger function and of working with multiple and diverse stakeholders
- previously confidently supervised transactional processing
- a high level of attention to detail in your own work and review of others
- a hands-on approach with processing where needed
- self-motivation and strong time management skills
