My Cheltenham based business services client is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join their team. You will oversee the activities of an accounts payable team. This includes invoicing, processing payments, and managing expense accounts and budget reports. You will be responsible for evaluating the data base structure within the accounts payable discipline.

In addition, you will organise and regulates accounts payable processes and procedures within the organisation and ensure the use of appropriate standards in the accounts payable discipline.

**Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing the compilation and presentation of reports regarding the cash flow of the organisation.
- Training and overseeing the activities of employees within the accounts payable team.
- Developing procedures and processes for handling invoices and maintaining the general ledger.
- Supervising the payment of expenses within the organisation.
- Ensuring records and data are stored efficiently and securely having regard to audit requirements.
- Preparing reports and presenting them to senior management.
- Analysing expense reports and invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Supervising the reconciliation of accounts and ensuring that payments are made on time.
- Acting as a contact point for resolving complex billing and invoicing issues.
- Building constructive relationships across the organisation.
- Creating an efficient system for the distribution of payments across the organisation.
- Overseeing actions that ensure payments comply with budgetary restrictions.
- Providing advice on operations and staff budgets.
- Resolving payment issues with vendors.

**Requirements**:

- Proven ability to manage staff
- In-depth understanding of the accounts payable function.
- Proven ability to motivate team members.
- Exceptional attention to detail.

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

- purchase ledger: 3 years (required)
- Accounts payable: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cheltenham
