We have an opportunity for a talented HR data analytics professional with proven expertise in delivering quality HR data analytics, reporting and proficiency in maintaining ERP systems (preferably SAP), to lead on the delivery of quality data analytics and HR systems for EMBL.
Reporting to the Head of Pay, Social Security and HR Systems and closely collaborating with the Senior HR Leads and senior management across EMBL, your role will support the delivery of EMBL’s programme and its people strategy and help inform organisational decisions.
**Your role**
**HR analytics and reporting**
- Assist in building a modern HR business intelligence function and expanding current capacity by a forward-looking data analytics strategy of HR
- Supporting the HR Management team to identify organisational challenges and opportunities and using data analyses to implement changes and make significant contributions to the integration of HR data into business processes; optimise and standardise HR’s data analysis and reporting
- Develop HR’s data collection processes and dashboards (including employee surveys and exit interviews) to support the delivery of quality HR with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, diversity, turnover, staff development, staff wellbeing, etc
- Prepare HR data and statistics ahead of the EMBL Council and Science Advisory committee meetings
- Produce HR’s annual report.
- Actively contribute to the quinquennial Terms and Conditions review by sourcing any HR data needed by the working groups
- Act as the focal point of contact for all HR data analytics and reporting matters and requests
- Participate in the EMBL Reporting Network and represent HR on internal and external professional for a, conferences, workshops, and other events related to EMBL’s HR data analytics function.
**ERP**
- Act as the focal point for HR ERP projects related to the digitalisation programme
- Develop, monitor and maintain the detailed project plans and documents for the implementation of HR data maintenance and analytics; regularly provide project status updates; prepare the development of a change management plan and communication
- Actively contribute to the identification and the implementation of improvements to the HR data collection (recruitment, performance and contract management, social security, pay and benefits, etc) data maintenance and analytics/reporting within ERP systems and processes, including user testing
- Liaise between HR and the HR ERP support team (SAP) on all HR systems related matters for any system upgrade or modifications needed.
**Operational support**
- Manage the SAP Organisational Management structure and ensure it is kept updated for all EMBL sites
- Conduct the monthly payroll checks and audits for the EBI payroll; back up the monthly payroll check for other EMBL sites
- Prepare, deliver or co-ordinate the delivery of user manuals/SOP and training activities for the HR ERP solutions and HR analytics/reporting tools
**You have**
- University degree in human resources, business administration, management or public administration, with a specialization in data analytics, or similar
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR analytics, systems and payroll including the provision of reports, people data and statistics and responsibility for HR/payroll systems
- Conscientious attitude and high numerical accuracy
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Advanced knowledge and experience working with SAP or other ERP and advanced level Excel
- High level presentation skills
- High level interpersonal skills
- Excellent teamwork
- Track record of working in a complex matrix setup
- Project management certification and/or experience
- Track record of delivery in multicultural environments
- Good working knowledge of another European language
**Benefits and Contract Information**
- **Financial incentives**:depending on circumstances, monthly family/marriage allowance of £243, monthly child allowance of £293 per child. Non resident allowance up to £496 per month. Annual salary review, pension scheme, death benefit, long-term care, accident-at-work and unemployment insurances
